TRU Living – Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Use (Terms) govern your access to and use of the TRU Living website, platform, and related services (Platform).

By accessing or using the Platform, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms.

These Terms apply to all users of the Platform, including Hosts, Guests, and visitors (Users), and operate alongside the TRU Living Terms & Conditions, which govern bookings, payments, liability, and related matters. In the event of any inconsistency, the Terms & Conditions will prevail to the extent of that inconsistency.

If you do not agree to these Terms, you must cease using the Platform.

2. Licence to Use the Platform

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, TRU Living grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use the Platform for its intended purpose.

3. User Obligations

You must:

  • comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and codes;
  • provide accurate, current, and complete information;
  • use the Platform in good faith.

You must not:

  • engage in fraudulent, misleading, or deceptive conduct;
  • interfere with or disrupt the Platform;
  • attempt unauthorised access to systems or data;
  • use bots, scraping tools, or automated systems;
  • upload malicious code or bypass security measures.

4. Accounts and Security

You are responsible for:

  • maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials;
  • all activity conducted under your account.

TRU Living may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms.

5. User Content

You grant TRU Living a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, reproduce, and display User Content in connection with the Platform.

You warrant that your content is accurate, lawful, and does not infringe third-party rights.

6. Platform Role

TRU Living provides a platform that facilitates connections between Hosts and Guests.

We do not own, manage, or control any properties and are not a party to agreements between Users. All bookings and stays are governed by the Terms & Conditions.

7. Third-Party Services

TRU Living is not responsible for third-party services or content accessed through the Platform.

8. Intellectual Property

All Platform content (excluding User Content) is owned or licensed by TRU Living and must not be used without prior written consent.

9. Suspension and Termination

TRU Living may suspend or terminate access where necessary to:

  • enforce these Terms;
  • comply with legal obligations;
  • protect the Platform or other Users.

10. Disclaimer

The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available," to the maximum extent permitted by law.

11. Limitation of Liability

Liability arising from use of the Platform is limited as set out in the TRU Living Terms & Conditions.

12. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless TRU Living from any claims, losses, or liabilities arising from:

  • your use of the Platform;
  • your breach of these Terms;
  • your violation of any law or third-party rights.

13. Variations

TRU Living may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of any changes.
